Celebrating Our Election Victories and Planning Our Next Steps

Board Members,

I am thrilled to share the incredible news from last night's Democratic primaries: One Main Street Colorado has achieved remarkable success, winning 10 out of 11 races, and by double-digit margins. This resounding victory is a testament to our collective efforts, dedication, and the powerful message we have conveyed to voters across Colorado.

Election Results Highlights:

State Senate: Judy Amabile (SD 18) and Lindsey Daugherty (SD 19) secured victories, underscoring our commitment to economic development.

State House: We triumphed in multiple districts, including HD 4 (Cecelia Espenoza), HD 6 (Sean Camacho), HD 30 (Rebekah Stewart), HD 31 (Jacque Phillips), HD 36 (Michael Carter), and HD 49 (Lesley Smith).

County Commissioner: Rhonda Fields (Arapahoe County, D5) and Julie Duran Mullica (Adams County) also emerged victorious, advocating for comprehensive county development.

These victories signify more than just electoral wins; they represent a clear rejection of the politics of division and gridlock perpetuated by the Democratic Socialists of America (DSA). Voters have chosen unity and progress, supporting our vision of collaborative leadership and practical solutions.

Impact and Significance:

- Expanding Representation: We have successfully increased the number of women and members of the Black and Latino caucus within the Colorado Legislature.

- Future of the Democratic Party: Our achievements signal a shift towards substantive policy over political theatrics, focusing on real solutions for our communities.

- Continued Momentum: This follows our success in the 2023 municipal elections, further solidifying our movement and influence across Colorado.

- Decisive Wins: All of our victories were achieved by double-digit margins, demonstrating robust support for our candidates and platform.

Next Steps:

1. Strengthening Our Legislative Agenda: We must continue to prioritize expanding the middle class, upgrading infrastructure, and making Colorado the small business capital of the United States.

2. Supporting Our Elected Officials: Provide our newly elected representatives with the resources and support they need to hit the ground running and implement our shared vision.

3. Community Engagement: Engage with our supporters and communities to keep them informed and involved in our initiatives, ensuring sustained momentum and backing.

4. Strategic Planning: Begin planning for the upcoming legislative sessions and future elections, identifying key areas where we can continue to make a significant impact.

I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to each of you for your unwavering support and dedication. Our collective efforts have led to these extraordinary results, and I am confident that together, we will continue to drive positive change for Colorado.

Best,

Andrew
