The history of IBEW Local Union 111 is a story of strength and perserverance resourcefulness, ability and vision. It was born from a hardy group of 8 men who recieved the charter amid turmoil and unrest on December 19th, 1907 to a vibrant, active and growing union of over 4000 members today. The heritage of Local 111 involves former Locals 789, 925, 1436 and 969 who all have become a part of Local 111 and added to its membership. The story of Local 111 is about working men and women. From the beginning it has been clear that those working men and women have not truly been appreciated. Since its inception Local 111 has been guided by the principle that the worker deserves respect and digity and holds that belief still true today.
